Andrew Weissberger is a consultant endocrinologist at St Vincent’s Private and Public Hospitals and St Vincent’s Clinic. He is also Head of the Department of Endocrinology at St Vincent’s Private Hospital and St Vincent’s Clinic, and an Associate Professor at the University of Notre Dame Australia.
Andrew graduated from UNSW with first class honours and completed his specialist training at Royal North Shore and St Vincent’s Hospitals. He received a doctorate degree in medicine from UNSW for his landmark research on female and male hormonal regulation of the secretion of growth hormone by the pituitary gland. After completing his doctoral research at the Garvan Institute, he worked as an endocrinology research fellow and clinical lecturer at St Thomas’ Hospital, London, where he conducted pioneering studies exploring the benefits of growth hormone therapy in adults.
With extensive clinical experience in all areas of adult endocrinology and diabetes, gained both locally and overseas, Andrew is greatly respected for his ability to communicate complex information into clear guidance for his patients. His compassionate approach and engaging bedside manner make him a trusted and highly regarded specialist in his field.
